Romar & Chelsea Morris

Crown’s Recovery Zone

Romar: Native of Rowan County, NC
Chelsea: Native of Roanoke Rapids, NC

Industry: Health & Wellness

Rowan County is a thriving ground for entrepreneurs who are ready to begin building their unique businesses. There is an established community of business owners ready to share and willing to help. That strong sense of community is part of what drew Romar and Chelsea Morris back here from Charlotte.  As owners of Crown’s Recovery Zone, the Morris’ knew that Rowan County was the ideal place to see their business vision come to life. Not only have they experienced firsthand that there is a “loving community here and everyone wants to see you succeed” but they truly believe that the “supportive business environment and deep community ties” help their up-and-coming business “grow and flourish according to [God’s] plan.”

Rowan County is like nowhere else because it is a “good mixture of the city and the country.” A central location between bigger cities along I-85 provides a thriving and diverse clientele for their wellness and holistic clinic, Crown’s Recovery Zone. Crown’s focuses on targeted solutions for athletes, individuals with chronic conditions, and those seeking to boost their immune system. Their goal is “to provide a comprehensive approach to wellness, helping clients feel their best from the inside out.” They aim to serve students, athletes, busy professionals, and retirees. Romar’s experience as a professional NFL player and Chelsea’s experience as a critical care Registered Nurse showed them the need for Crown’s and provided them the knowledge base to bring back to the community.

The Morris’ believe their purpose here in Rowan County is more than just running a business. They have a mission “rooted in faith, service, and healing.” They are actively giving back to the community by partnering with local sports programs to provide recovery services, injury prevention, and wellness education. You may see them involved at Next Generation Academy where they help facilitate youth development through sports, academics, and career exploration. Crown’s also works in collaboration with non-profits and local health organization to increase the access of wellness services to those in need. If there is a local event or expo, the Morris’ will be set up with educational information on their holistic health and recovery strategies.

To the Morris’, being an original in Rowan County means you must “be unique and unapologetically you.” They built their business on “faith, and through it, we continue to walk in the purpose God has set before us—serving, healing, and empowering others in the Rowan County community and beyond.” You too can plug in to Rowan County and find your own purpose here. It a place that is “full of life.”
