Brandon McNeely
Blue Collar Cycle Company
Native of Anderson, SC
Industry: Motorcycle Repair/Dealership
Brandon McNeely is originally from Anderson, SC and moved to Rowan County five years ago with the hopes of opening “a motorcycle dealership in an area with a great riding community.” He was able to do just that and was extremely successful. He started Blue Collar Cycle Company in 2019 and has been engaging with and strengthening the local riding community ever since.
McNeely says that Rowan County “felt like home before [he] moved here.” He appreciates that the local community is full of individuals who “turn out to events they believe in. They just buy in.” He is a heart transplant and cancer survivor and being a Rowan County Original to him means being a person who self-starts and a person who wants to be the change they want to see happen in their area.
Some of his favorite local spots are his shop, of course, and downtown Salisbury eateries like Shuckin’ Shack and Carpe Vinum. Monterrey Mexican Restaurant is also a delicious option. If you’re looking to get out and socialize with fellow Rowan County residents and visitors, McNeely recommends the annual Cheerwine Festival held downtown every May or coming by his shop for Bike Nights. You can find out more about Blue Collar Cycle Company and see when the next Bike Night is by visiting the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/bluecollarcycylecompany or the website at www.bluecollarcycle.com.
Rowan County has so much to offer to everyone who lives or visits here. McNeely sees the diversity and how special the people who live here truly are. There are “opportunities everywhere you look.” For this father, husband, and entrepreneur, Rowan County is the perfect place to live, ride, and work.
