Festival of Gifts – November 21-23, 28-30 and December 5-7, 12-14 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Find a variety of gift choices for the holidays at the yearly Festival of Gifts held at the Rail Walk Studios and Gallery. Hand painted glassware, scented candles, and many more custom-made items from local artisans.

Scrooge’s Christmas Trolley Tour – November 21 – December 21 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) from 6 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.

Scrooge’s Christmas Trolley Tour is a dramatic telling of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” Passengers travel back in time with Scrooge on his journey via the trolley to see scenes from this traditional holiday story. This is a live-theater presentation that your family won’t want to miss!

Kannapolis Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony & Fireworks – November 23 at 6 p.m.

A Kannapolis Christmas will officially kick off at Village Park with the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony! Enjoy live music and entertainment, kid’s activities, and fireworks!

Hall House Christmas – November 23 – December 22 (Saturdays and Sundays) from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Bring your family to the Hall House Museum to enjoy beautiful Christmas displays. Greenery, fruits and berries, antique toys, heirloom quilts are all combined to transform Dr. Hall’s house into a Christmas wonderland.

‘Tis the Season Holiday Spectacular – Wednesday, November 27 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

A holiday parade will follow the route of main street through Spencer and Salisbury’s historic downtowns. The community is invited to enjoy the musical acts, floats, and the celebration of another beautiful holiday season in Rowan County!

Gingerbread House Workshop – December 1 at 1, 2, and 3 p.m

Come test your holiday architecture skills at this gingerbread house building event! This family-friendly event provides all the supplies. Advanced registration is required and costs $40.

Lessons & Carols at Catawba College – December 2 and 5 at 6:30 p.m.

Members of the community are welcomed to enjoy the beautiful voices of Catawba College’s choir by attending Catawba College’s 32nd annual service of Lessons and Carols. Come kick off your holiday spirit in the beautifully decorated Onwake-Dearborn Chapel!

Living Christmas Tree – December 5-9 at 7 p.m.

The Living Christmas Tree is a live musical and drama performance held each holiday season. Come listen to this 80-person choir range from traditional Christmas carols to contemporary gospel music!

Arc of Rowan County Festival of Trees – December 6-8 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

The annual Festival of Trees showcases a collection of beautifully decorated Christmas trees and is a wonderful kick-off to the Christmas season. This will be the 15th year of the festival, so make sure you come out and spread some Christmas cheer!

The trees in the Festival are sponsored by anyone interested in helping The Arc of Rowan. The tree sponsor can specify the decorators for their tree, or The Arc of Rowan can find a decorator for them. The tree decorators choose the style of decorations and a theme! The trees are available for public display during the first weekend in December. Once the Festival of Trees concludes, the Christmas tree is moved by The Arc of Rowan to a location of the sponsor’s choosing, in Rowan County, to be viewed and enjoyed until the new year begins.
