The Rowan Chamber of Commerce’s second annual Minority Business Trade Show was a very successful event on April 25 at the Livingstone College Hospitality Center.

“We had over 500 attendees and 67 vendor booths at the trade show and announced the new small business grant,” said Ralph Young, Minority Business Trade Show Chair. “The feedback we have received from all participants has been fantastic. Our goal continues to be to encourage major employers to increase the percentage of business they do with a diverse group of entrepreneurs.”

The Minority Business Trade Show is the Chamber’s largest networking event. It is a business-to-business expo with valuable business connections made among the participants. Several of the booths offered valuable door prizes in addition of a grand prize at the end of the evening. Food and refreshments were also available from locally owned women and minority owned restaurants.

Sponsors of the trade show included Catawba College, Salisbury Post, Self-Help Credit Union, F & M Bank, Atrium Health, Hood Theological Seminary, City of Salisbury, Livingstone College, Stowe Law Firm, PLLC, Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, Unlock Me Bail Bonds, Desco, Inc., Duke Energy Carolinas, Gegorek & Associates Realty, LLC, Synphany Media LLC, Forum For Strength For Health For Life, Trinity Oaks/Retirement, Lutheran Services Carolinas.
